The Nabucco Resort - Spreyside Inn

On the edge of the quaint Speyside fishing village lays The Nabucco Resort Speyside Inn a charming seafront hotel with 21 sea view rooms. Whether you chose to explore the forests or ocean by day, at night, dine under the stars on the romantic sea grape terrace and indulge in a pina colada.

Out in the bay, the waters around Little Tobago Island, a noted seabird
sanctuary, and Goat Island offer some of the most exciting diving in the Caribbean. An amazing variety of corals and sponges and brilliantly coloured reef fish will leave divers amazed. Behind the Inn rise the foothills of Tobago's highest mountain. Exotic hummingbirds and butterflies adorn the flowering plants thrive in its tropical rain forests and around our terrace.

The Diving

Those of you who have dived elsewhere in the Caribbean will be amazed at the richness and diversity of Tobago's reefs and prolific fish life. The Speyside dive centre offers three daily dives to the nearby dive sites of the Caribbean. It takes no longer than 5 minutes to reach most sites. Special excursions are arranged to further sites such as Sisters and London Bridge. Dawn dives and night dives are available. Due to the currents most of the dives are performed as drift dives and all divers are provided with safety markers. Dive sites are chosen according to the weather conditions and the experience of the divers on a daily basis. All dives are guided by experienced Instructors or divemasters. A private guide and boat can be booked on request. Check dives and refresher courses are available in sheltered shallow bays. Guests staying at Speyside Inn are also offered full day excursions to the Southern tip of the island where they can dive with Extra Divers Crown Point. Dive Centre

The dive center is managed by Bruno Weber, who is originally from Switzerland. At Speyside there are some 20 dive sites all within five minutes boat ride and many more which are less than 20 minutes away. Transfer time from Crown Point International Airport to Speyside is about one hour. Extra Divers Tobago are members of the PADI Resort Association and of the Tobago Dive Operator Association. The boats always carry DAN O2 kits, marine VHF radio and a recompression chamber is located in Roxborough, approx. 30 minutes from the dive centre.

4 8ltr alum. scuba cylinders with k-valve, DIN adapters are available for use free of charge
L&W 300E compressor.
A fast pirogue custom made fibre boat offers space for 8 to 10 divers. DAN O2 emergency and medic first aid equipment as well as a VHF marine radio and a mobile phone are always on board to ensure maximum safety.
