INDIGO BAY RESORT, BAZARATU ISLAND
Indigo Bay Island Resort offers 50 rooms located on the west side of Bazaruto Island in a protected bay. A choice of accommodation is offered, with both Beach Chalets and Bay View Rooms designed with softly fringed thatched roofs to blend in with the natural surroundings, and interior finishes that complement the ambience and beauty of the location.
The Indigo Bay Island Resort offers a wide range of services and activities, including some of the world’s best diving, deep sea and bill fishing, as well as a range of water sports, horse riding, island drives and ocean cruises.
Located in a proclaimed Marine National Park, Bazaruto Island is one if several islands making up the Bazaruto Archipelago. This uncommercialized island offers a true, unspoiled African island experience, from kilometers of sandy white beaches, crystal clear azure seas, superb coral reefs and dive sites, soaring sand dunes and exuberant bird life, to abundant marine life including big game fish such as Black Marlin.
Fortunate visitors may view the variety of turtle species that can be found in these waters, along with the rare and near-extinct Dugong, a sea mammal. In season, guests can watch whales on their annual migration from the safety and comfort of one of the resort’s fleet of boats.
