VENEZUELAN POSADAS
Posada Acuarela
This was one of the first posadas to be built on the island of Gran Roque, and consequently became one of the most internationally renowned ones.
Having undergone several refurbishments, it now consists of 11 rooms of different sizes, 5 of which with air conditioning, a beautiful patio and a large open plan dining area.
We have included it in our deluxe range because of the Italian management and the delectable cuisine provided by the two Italian chefs.Unlike the other posadas, breakfast is à-la-carte and there is a choice of three dishes for each course for dinner, which is served between 7pm and 10pm, in order cater for all tastes and habits.
There are 11 rooms: 4 suites (one with air conditioning) either on a split-level or consisting of two rooms with 1 double bed and 1 or 2 single beds, 4 double rooms (2 with air conditioning), 2 triple rooms with 1 double and 1 single bed (1 with air conditioning) and 1 twin-bedded room with air conditioning.

Posada Acuario
The posada Acuario, entirely refurbished in July 2005 and currently under a new Italian management, is located just opposite the Gran Roque Lagoon. There are 5 rooms (2 double – 2 triple – 1 quadruple) all with en-suite bathroom (with hot water), air conditioning (inclusive), hairdryer and mini-bar, and satellite TV is available in the communal area.
This posada stands out for the high quality service provided by the very attentive management, as well as for being the only one in this range with hot water.

Posada La Corsaria
This posada, run by Venezuelan management, is located in the village of Gran Roque. There are 9 rooms (4 twin – 2 double – 3 triple) all with en-suite bathroom (no hot water), ceiling fan, safe deposit box and a small fridge (with no mini-bar service). This posada stands out for its typical decor and for its large rooms. All together it would deserve a higher rating, however, since it is not managed by Italians we have preferred to put it within this range.
The communal areas are cool and well aired. The restaurant is very special and glamorous: a branch of the famous “Kampai” in Caracas, it offers Japanese dishes alongside a very refined cuisine based on local fish and crustaceans.

Posada Malibù
Entirely refurbished and expanded in 2000, this is regarded as the most beautiful posada in Los Roques because of its style and because of the clever use of space. Owned by a Sicilian couple, it offers a pleasant stay in a beautiful and exclusive environment.
It consists of 10 rooms, all with en-suite bathroom air conditioning or ceiling fan, a large terrace and cosy communal areas. This deluxe posada stands out for the high standards of service provided, with a particular attention for details, as well as for the excellent international and Italian cuisine. A private vessel is available for excursions to the islands, and can be booked on an exclusive basis.
There are 10 rooms: 3 suites (2 quadruple and 1 triple, all with air conditioning) set on a split-level with a double bed on the lower level and 1 or 2 single beds on the upper one, 3 double rooms with king-size bed, 2 triple rooms with 1 double and single bed (all with air conditioning) and 2 double rooms overlooking the terrace (one with air conditioning).

Posada Movida
This is where Mario has built the friendly Posada Movida, where you will be enchanted by the warm hospitality, the positive vibe and the excellent cuisine offered by the landlord.
Posada Movida has 6 nice double rooms, all with ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom. There is also a large sitting/dining room with a lively kitchen and a cosy and relaxing living room. You will be spoilt by the best Italian and exotic cuisine, from breakfast to dinner…….. and watch out for the delectable puddings! Everyday there is an excursion to the “deep blue”: setting sail in the morning towards one or more of the beautiful neighbouring islands aboard the MV “Movida”

Posada Paraiso Azul
The posada Paraiso Azul, located in the village of Gran Roque and run by Italian management, was entirely refurbished in 2005. There are 8 rooms (2 double – 6 triple) all with en-suite bathroom (no hot water), hairdryer and ceiling fan. A new terrace is at the guests’ disposal.
This posada stands out because of the cuisine’s high standard.

Posada Tropicana
The posada Topicana is a small lodge consisting of four double rooms, which can sleep up to eight guests. All rooms have ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom. The restaurant offers both typical Venezuelan dishes and international cuisine. The owners will organize excursions to the neighbouring islands. Deck chairs, beach umbrellas and snorkelling equipment are at the guests’ disposal.
