The Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort is located on the South China Sea, approximately seven miles from Kota Kinabalu International Airport . DAY 01 ARRIVE / KUALA LUMPUR Meet at KLIA airport and transfer to your hotel. Departure for a 3 hours city tour in the afternoon. The tour starts passing through the busy city center and witness the longest painting in the world on the walls of the Pudu Jail and cruise along Independence Square before driving through Chinatown . Drive up to the King's Palace and the river confluence at Masjid Jamek, where Kuala Lumpur was founded. Visit the National Monument, which was built in dedication to the fallen heroes. Witness a fine Moorish Architecture from the 19th Century in Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Railway Station.

Catch a glimpse of the National Mosque. Overnight.

DAY 02 KUALA LUMPUR In the morning, after breakfast, depart toward Putrajaya. You will discover this amazing and futuristic city of Malaysia , now the new administration center, located in the Multimedia Super Corridor. One thoroughly majestic construction after another, one would have to see Putrajaya to understand what Malaysia seeks to represent. The tour begins with a nice panoramic view from one of the most modern bridge located on the Putrajaya’s Lake . Walking around this lake you will arrive to the Putra Square . Here is located the Putra Mosque, built with pink marble, that takes inspiration from the typical Islamic architecture. By the side of the Mosque you can have the view of the Prime Minister’s Office with a fantastic green and coloured garden all around. Proceed along the lake where are located the modern buildings of the Foreign Minister Office, the Ministry of Finance and Sultan Selangor’s House. At the end of this tour you can see the Prime Minister Residence located on the top of a hill with a nice view on Putrajaya and the lake. (abf)

DAY 03 KUALA LUMPUR In the morning, after breakfast, depart for a full day tour of Malacca, which is 160 kilometers to the south of Kuala Lumpur . Parameswara, a Hindu Prince from Palembang whom later converted to Islam in 1402, founded Malacca. This state is the most important landmark in the country. The Portuguese, Dutch and English had also ruled Malacca. The ruins and building of these foreign powers can still be seen today, in the midst of the fast developing, but carefully planned township. Visit The Porta de Santiago, St Paul 's Church, the Stadhuys Building , Christchurch , Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia ), Jonker Street and Bukit China are among the places to visit. DAY 04 KUALA LUMPUR/CAMERON HIGHLANDS In the morning, depart for Cameron Highlands which is 1542 metres above sea level and famous for its tea plantation and cool temperatures. Proceed north to Cameron with 1 st stop at Batu caves famous for the temples built inside big caves, you have to climb 272 steps before to reach the top. On the way visit Lata Iskandar Water fall, a native settlement and a bamboo basket-making stall. The temperature can drop to 15 degrees Celsius. Sweaters are recommended for evenings. DAY 05 CAMERON HIGHLANDS/PENANG Cameron Highland tour starts in the morning with a visit to the tea plantation, tea factory, a vegetable farm and the market. After that, proceed to Penang . Along the journey visit the Sam Poh Tong Temple in Ipoh , the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace , Istana Kenangan Museum and the 1st rubber tree of Malaysia at Kuala Kangsar. Cross the third longest bridge in the world, that links the Peninsula and Penang Island . Overnight. (Abf & Lch).

DAY 06 PENANG After breakfast, enjoy a Georgetown tour visiting the reclining Buddha at the Wat Chayamangkalaram, the 4th longest reclining Buddha in the world. Next visit the Fort Cornwallis of the East India Co., where Captain Francis Light landed in 1786. View the heritage of the Khoo Kongsi Clan house (from the outside), where you will be fascinated by the detailed carvings on the walls, pillars and roofs by master craftsmen from China . Finally, stop at the Botanical Gardens, which offer lush green surroundings with a variety of tropical plants and birdlife. Beware of the monkeys that wait for some feeding from visitors, but please do not feed the monkeys.

DAY 07 PENANG/ONWARD In the morning transfer to the airport for onward flight. (Abf)

 

TAMAN NEGARA NATIONAL PARK – 3 Days/2 Nights

DAY 01 KUALA LUMPUR/TAMAN NEGARA The journey begins as early as 0745 where you will be met at pick-up point (*) before embarking on a 4-hour trip to an inland town of Kuala Tembeling . Here, you will take a motorized longboat on a 3-hour ride to Kuala Tahan. Before that, please register yourself with the National Park and Wildlife Department. The longboat is scheduled to depart at 1400 (except at 1445 on Fridays). En-route you will be passing by local villages and lush tropical rainforest. Any sightings of birds, monkeys, monitor lizards or water buffaloes would be a bonus. Due to the dense and huge area of Taman Negara (4343 sq km), sightings of wildlife cannot be guaranteed. Expected arrival time at Kuala Tahan is 1700 hours. Check –in at the Taman Negara Resort. Your guide will give brief orientation at 2000 hours. The first adventure will be a night walk in the 130 million years old tropical rain forest to experience the nightlife of a rainforest. We will be on lookout for nocturnal insects amidst the sound and darkness of the rainforest. O/night in chalet (Dnr)

DAY 02 TAMAN NEGARA After breakfast, jungle walk up Teresik Hill, which will take us further into the National Park. The guide will highlight to you the rich flora found en route. You will enjoy a panoramic view of the tropical rainforest at the top of Teresik Hill. On a clear day, see Mount Tahan . Experience going on one of the three canopy walkways in the world today, built 30 meters above ground and 480 meters in length. You will be able to experience the existence of the rainforest from a different perspective because you will be closer to the top of the trees instead of the ground! In the afternoon, we will go on another motorized boat ride to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh for swimming and relaxing. Enjoy the chorus and serenity of the aged but beautiful rainforest. Overnight. DAY 03 TAMAN NEGARA/KUALA LUMPUR After breakfast, take a boat ride to Kuala Tembeling. The boat departs at 0900 and the journey will take 2 to 3 hours depending on the water level. Transfer to Kuala Lumpur will depart at 1300. Expected arrival time in Kuala Lumpur is between 1700 and 1800 at the same place as the pick-up point (Abf)

 
SARAWAK LONG HAUSE ADVENTURE – 5 Days/4 Nights

DAY 01 KUCHING Arrive Kuching in the morning. Meet and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, proceed on a city tour which will take you to places of interest such as Tua Pek Kong Temple (the oldest Chinese Temple in Kuching), the old Gambier spice streets with their open market, the Malay village and the Muslim mosque, the Kuching waterfront with a reordered history of Sarawak and the Sarawak Museum (known to be the best museum in South East Asia ). Overnight Hilton.

DAY 02 KUCHING/BATANG AI/LONGHOUSE ADVENTURE After breakfast you will travel 290 km by car, with a few stops along the way: the first at Serian town, where we will stop for refreshment. You may wish to make some last minute shopping, for

insect repellent or gifts for the Ibans at Serian. You can also visit a fascinating native fruit and vegetable market. The other stops include a visit to the pepper farm and a stop where you can observe plenty of wild orchids and also pitcher plants, insect eating plants. The last stop will be at “Lachau” a small up country Chinese Village , where we will provide the lunch. Here you can still observe barter trading being held between the natives of Kalimantan , the Chinese shop owners and the natives of Sarawak . After lunch we proceed to the final stage of the journey, and arrive at beautiful Batang Ai lake. At the jetty, you will take a boat/ferry across the lake to reach the Hilton Batang Ai. DAY 03 BATANG AI After breakfast, your morning will start with a fascinating visit to natives of Borneo . You will board native longboats for about an hour, across the lake, and then up the river, to reach a native longhouse. On arrival at the Longhouse, you will be taken for a tour around the longhouse, to meet the natives and their families. The Iban women will organize a small market and display their handicrafts for sale. As a tourist, you do not have to feel obliged to buy. The Iban will perform war dances and will ask you to join them to test their rice wine. Don’t be shy to join them for dances and drinks, can be fun. After the enjoyment before you leave this paradise, you may wish to have a short jungle walk to visit their farms and surrounding forests, after which you return by boat to the Hilton resort. DAY 04 BATANG AI/KUCHING Breakfast at resort. Return to Kuching with the same route as of the first day, directly to the hotel. (Abf/Lch)

ADVENTURE BY BOAT AT MULU CAVES NATIONAL PARK

DAY 01 ARRIVE/MULU Upon arrival, proceed to Royal Mulu resort. After check in proceed to Mulu National Park with one of Royal Mulu resort tour guide. Mulu National Park is famous for the largest cave passage in the world and a heaven for naturalist. The Park has 1500 species of flowering plants, 170 species of wild orchid and 67 species of animals, but sighting of these animals are not guaranteed. Visit Lang’s cave and Deer caves. Walk on a raised platform through a peat swamp forest. Next stop is at the Garden of Eden. In the evening if the weather permits, it will be possible to watch a strange phenomenon at the mouth of the cave. Overnight at Royal Mulu Resort.

DAY 02 MULU After breakfast This morning we transfer you to Park HQ and take the canopy walk. From there we go by boat to Tutoh river to Long Iman Penan Village . Take a jungle walk with the Penan tribe on a hunting trip . We return late in the afternoon to Royal Mulu Resort. (Abf+ packed Lunch)

DAY 03 MULU/ONWARD Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a new exploration of Mulu caves and by boat to Clearwater cave. It is possible to swim at Clearwater spring, after that a new exploration will be done to the Cave of the Wind. Return to Mulu and proceed to the airport. (Abf+ packed Lunch).

 
SABAH ADVENTURE – 4 Days/3 Nights

DAY 01 ARRIVE/ KOTA KINABALU Arrive to Kota Kinabalu airport meet and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon depart toward Beaufort arriving at Klias river after 2 hours journey, enjoy the rural scenario before to board the boat which will take you through the intricate system of tributary which contribute to Klias river beauty. You will see the famous proboscis monkeys jumping from one tree to another. Various other species of monkeys and several species of birds and snacks will be part of the natural beauty of this area. The cruise will last till the sunset after which, if you are lucky you will witness a natural show of million of fire-flies. Return at departure point for a simple dinner. After dinner return to your hotel. Overnight. (Dnr)

DAY 02 KOTA KINABALU ISLAND DAY TOUR Breakfast in hotel. At 0900 hrs, meet our guide and transfer to the jetty for boat ride to one of island of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park . Upon arrival, bask in the sun on the clear white sandy beaches, swim and snorkel or explore the trails on the islands. Packed lunch will be provided and late afternoon transfer back to mainland. DAY 03 KOTA KINABALU NATIONAL PARK & PORING HOT SPRINGS Meet at hotel lobby and proceed to Kinabalu Park , Malaysia 's Natural Heritage site. Journey will take approximately 2 hours passing by villages and paddy fields. Along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker range. A brief stop over at Nabalu, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts. An opportunity to observe the local stall activities. Arrive at Kinabalu Park , enjoy the cool and refreshing mountain air, if the day is clear a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu , the highest mountain in South East Asia . Proceed for a guided walk along the nature trails with the park naturalist and a visit to Mountain Garden . While walking listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe nature's plants, trees, orchids and butterflies. Kinabalu Park boasts an estimate of 4,500 species of plants which includes 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies. A visit to Australian War Memorial Park and Rose Garden at Kundasang.

Depart for lunch at Kinabalu Pine Resorts OR similar for check-in. Inclusive: Lunch & Steamboat Dinner

DAY 04 KINABALU PARK/KOTA KINABALU Check out after breakfast; depart for another interesting natural wonder, the Poring Hot Spring located approximately 47 kilometers from Kinabalu Park . Poring Hot Spring named after the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area is a natural spring where hot sulfurous water emit from the ground.

There are Japanese Baths where visitors can soak themselves and let the invigorating sulfurous water stimulate the body. Visitors can also try the Canopy Walkway, where suspension bridges are suspended at the top of the canopy for visitors to walk among the canopy of a tropical jungle, visit the Orchid Garden and Butterfly Farm. Depart Poring Hot Spring for Kota Kinabalu. On arrival, transfer to your beach resort in Kota Kinabalu or to airport. (Breakfast & Lunch).

 
SANDAKAN WILDLIFE SAFARI – 3Days/2 Nights

DAY 01 SANDAKAN/SELINGAN Arrive at Sandakan from Kota Kinabalu by early morning flight. Meet at the airport and transfer to the jetty. Take a boat ride to Selingan Island for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling (equipments can be rented locally, but subject to availability). In the night, patiently wait for the famous Green and Hawksbill Turtles to come ashore to lay eggs. Overnight in chalet. (Lch /Dnr)

DAY 02 SELINGAN/SANDAKAN/KINABATANGAN In the morning depart back to Sandakan . At noon, proceed on the journey up the Kinabatangan River in search of the Probocis Monkeys with the extraordinary long nose, which can only be found in Borneo . The male species has a big pendulous nose, fat belly and thick white tail. It is truly fascinating to see the monkeys leap up in the air and land, crashing heavily into nearby trees. Overnight in Lodge. (B/fast /Lch /Dnr) .

DAY 03 KINABATANGAN/SEPILOK/SANDAKAN/ONWARD Early in the morning visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary to see the Orang Utans which have been orphaned, illegally captured or injured, being rehabilitated before releasing them to the wild once again. After this, transfer to the airport. (B/fast /Lch).
