History and Construction of the Pindito
The Pindito and the name Edi Frommenwiler go hand in hand. Edi had always dreamed of operating his own business, while working as a travel guide for adventure holidays all around the globe. He could convince his investors about the diving project and the beginning of the conduction of the Pindito was settled. Together with up to 60 local vessel workers he built the Pindito on a simple shipyard in less than 12 months and the Pindito watered the Indonesian Sea for the first time in March 1992. Ever since the Pindito offers different tours, which are all well known by Edi and his crew, in the various regions of Indonesia, Irian Jaya (Raja Empat), Moluccas, Nusa Tenggara (small Sunda Isles) and around Bali. Several thousand dives, uncountable excursions to islands the fact that Edi lives in Indonesia and speaks the language (Bahasa Indonesia) guarantee that you will have the unforgettable holiday of your life, thanks to him and his experienced crew.

ITINERARIES
ITINERARIES: The Pindito cruises are long, lasting around 12 days, with different itineraries which are alternated during the year, according to the best weather situation for each itinerary proposed.
KOMODO CRUISE: The Komodo National Park encompasses 132,000 hectares of marine waters. Since 1991 this area is officially declared a World Heritage Site, one of the largest protected zones on earth. The uncountable isles around Rinca, Padar, and Komodo act like a barrage between two big oceans. Tides create currents; as a result we have an incredible variety of fish, corals and invertebrates.
BIODIVERSITY CRUISE: This tour, over 1´100 sea miles, crosses the Banda Sea from Nusa Tenggara over to Irian Jaya (or the other way around), is leading you through most different geological land formations of Indonesia, simply the "Biodiversiy Cruise". Only twice a year this tour is on schedule and therefore a rare occasion! Come and see yourself, how fantastic these breathtaking places are!
RAJA AMPAT-EQUATOR CRUISE: This cruise gives you the impressions of the Indopacific and the Pacific Sea. Untouched landscapes and impressing huge coral banks dominate these very thinly populated isles. The Number of isles is immense. Pinnacles, solemnly standing out of the sea offer an impressive view. Fantastic, colourful coral gardens are your everyday program.
RAJA AMPAT – MISOOL CRUISE: The Misool route will show you an abundance of the undersea world. Its beauty will carry you away! Thousands of isle, which have been pushed up throughout the thousands of years and build a wonderful scene. Everywhere you come across caves, or caverns, you´ll find rocks as big as cathedrals, over hangs that all together improve the dramatic sight of this breathtaking landscapes. |

ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICE
Meals & Drinks: The cuisine is influenced by international and above all Indonesian (or Asian) dishes.
Breakfast is served in two slots. A little breakfast is served before the first dive, whereas the main breakfast-buffet is ready after the dive, and will meet all expectations.
Lunch and dinner are always a highlight and are mainly influenced by Indonesian or Chinese cooking. We always serve meat and fish dishes with different side-orders separately. Desserts and Sweets as a special treat for everyone shall not be forgotten here!
In between the crew serves biscuits and cakes, for the little treats.
At any time you can have tea, coffee or a cool drink out of the fridge. Drinking water is available all the time too. After the last dive you may enjoy alcoholic drinks for free (except wine, which has to be paid extra). |
