• Walea Protected Area is the only place where in the last 7 years the condition of the marine life is increasing in quantity and variety of species
• Walea is the only place in Togian’s Archipelago that is not destroyed by bombs and poison of the illegal fishermen (going to Togian Islands IS NOT THE SAME as going to Walea Marine Park)
• Walea is the only dive structure (FIVE STAR PADI DIVE SCHOOL) that has the license to work inside the protected area. That mean Walea has more than 30 dive sites included in an area of more or less 200 Km squares, where ONLY SMALL GROUPS OF DIVERS (max. 30 person per day divided in 4 dive speed boats) ARE AUTHORIZED TO DIVE OR SNORKEL with specialized dive guides and instructors

WALEA RESORT

Walea resort is tiny and exclusive: there are only 11 cottages, made of fine wood in order to respect the surrounding environment. Every cottage is directly on the beach. There's a porch with table and chairs, a double bedroom (an additional bed can be added upon request ), a wonderful private tiled bathroom with shower, double mosquito nets and ceiling fan. Every evening as you relaxing on your cottage's porch, you could enjoy some fabulous breathtaking sunset. This is the place where nature is the one and only protagonist.

The brand new Sunset Bar built halfway on the jetty, the best way to relax enjoying the wonderful sunsets sipping your tropical drink!
The dock goes from the reef all the way to the rumamakan, where the restaurant and the bar are. The kitchen is ran by Italian people. They perfectly manage to melt the traditional and tasteful Italian cuisine with the typical exotic Indonesian one .Each and every dish is made up of different recipes, products, flavours and spices!.
The resort also provides Spa with Jacuzzi and massage - satellite phone- TV and a cute tiny boutique.

THE DIVING AROUND WALEA

Geographically Walea is situated in the cape of Tanjung Kramat in front of Walea Strait inside at Tomini Gulf. Walea offer many different kinds of diving: in the west side, inside the gulf, there is not strong streaming and the habitat is perfect for a very rich barrier reef life: very big (soft and hard) corals and sponges, a huge variety of species and colours and of course small and medium fishes (Here is the only place in the world where you can see 5 different kind of pigmy sea horse and two of them are endemic of Walea’s sea). This part is a paradise for underwater photographers. In the East side, in the open sea where the currents could be strong, the variety of species and colours are still incredible and you can see sharks and pelagic fishes
All year round if you want to see a unique barrier reef’s life and a huge variety of small and rare species like Mandarin Fish or Pigmy sea horses and big fish too, this is the place.

WALEA DIVE CENTRE

The Walea dive center is the only Padi Five Stars (nr.6141) in the whole Central Sulawesi.

PADI courses from the OPEN WATER to the DIVEMASTER.
20 complete equipment Mares sets (jacket and double regulator with pressure-gauge), 30 air aluminium tanks and 3 boats designed and made for diving. Each one of the 3 boats is made of fibreglass, and thanks to the powerful engines you can reach many diving points in a few minutes. Brand new Bauer miniverticus super silenced compressors and a wide open hang & dry area where to leave all your diving and snorkelling equipment.
