A trip under sail with Boreas
of Katharina M/S gives you the unique opportunity to combine sailing adventures with comfort. With the length of 38 m, all the passengers (max. 18) have enough space to unwind over the deck and occasionally even find a private corner for their own. The ship is completely built out of wood and this grants a pleasant atmosphere: its planks are of teak and all the furnishing is in dark wood. The hull is planked in teak over oak and this guarantees stability, a safe trim, and a strong engine together with a large area a speedy progression.
For a getting together, the large table in the parlour or on the poop deck is waiting. Here on the poop you will find also a sun deck and a large sun-sail. At night you may also enjoy the cosy bar in the parlour. The experienced master, who has been sailing together with his crew for many years, will assure a safe and eventful trip. The experienced cook meanwhile will make sure that our appetite and thirst are well met and satisfied!
In order to allow the most out of each day, there is a variety of opportunities awaiting for you on board: you may hire the motorboat propelled by a 90 HP engine for water-skiing; you can take the snorkel equipment and go for a “ride”; you can get a fishing rod and try to catch the dinner; … or you can just lie down on the comfortable sun deck and relax listening to the rush of the waves.
Everything has been taken into consideration in order to guarantee maximum safety on board: navigation & communication equipment (GPS, Fish-finder, VDO-wind measurement, radar; VHF), 2 life rafts and life jackets for everybody on board. And in case children need to be securely leashed this is no problem. Furthermore, you will be able to keep in touch with the world at anytime using our satellite telephone. A 27-liter medical oxygen tank is also available.
All cabins are generously equipped with wardrobes and bedside table; have their own private bathroom with WC, washbasin and separate shower; have their own air-condition system maintaining the desired temperature. By means of our own seawater converter, we are also independent from the supply in the large water-tank. The generator assures a consistent functioning of electricity.
M/S BOREAS OF KATHARINA is managed by Italian Captain Maurizio Pazzelli, born in Eritrea, with sound experience of the Red Sea and his professional team.
